Why breeders use regular seeds
Regular seeds produce males and females — and males are exactly what a breeder needs. Feminized and auto lines are consumption products; regular seeds are the raw material of new genetics. The Breeding Grounds collection exists for this purpose.
Selecting parents
Choose the male for vigour, structure, resin coverage and stem scent; choose the female for the traits you want amplified. Breeders mark and isolate males before pollen sacs open — one male can seed an entire grow otherwise.
Collecting and applying pollen
Collect pollen as sacs open, dry it gently, store frozen with desiccant. Applied with a fine brush to selected female flowers, it sets seed in 4–6 weeks. Label everything — breeding is bookkeeping as much as gardening.
